Task

This task requires you to compile professional E-portfolio items that will support you entering and continuing your career as a nurse. There are three (3 ) items to this task. Item A can be submitted as a separate file to items B and C.

You are required to include:

Item A – CV

A Curriculum Vitae (CV) is to be created as a word document. The following information must be included in your CV:

• Personal information including contact details

• Qualifications – Education/Clinical Skills

• Relevant Work/Practice History for the past ten (10) years.

• Names of referees to contact (clinical referees are preferred)

A sample template will be provided on the Interact 2 site. There are many templates freely available on the web which you may use.

Item B – Mock Application for Employment

In order to prepare you for the upcoming round of new graduate transition to practice applications, you are to submit a mock application for employment. A mock advertisement will be provided on the Interact2 site, and you will be required to respond to the selection criteria.

Your application will include the following:

B.1) A cover letter- outlining what position you are applying for and why you want to be a registered nurse at this facility (approx. 250-300 words)

B.2) Responses to the selection criteria (maximum 150 words for each criterion)

Item C – Continuing Professional Development(CPD) Reflection

In your assessment you are to include a section on CPD. Explain why it is important for you as a registered nurse in your future practice, and explain how you will meet these requirements to maintain your registration with AHPRA and the NMBA (approx. 300-500 words).
